Discuss your Wedding Dance Songs

It's safe to say that we have more men than women post about the first dance at Wedding Forum! We can sense the jitters and anxiety even across the World Wide Web, but it needn't be so worrying. After all, you're surrounded by family and friends - it isn't the final of Strictly Come Dancing. But we know that people love hints and tips so here's a few that have appeared on Wedding Forum recently, added by our helpful online community....
- Don't be that couple that dances for six minutes! Even professional dancers try to keep their routines to 2-3 minutes tops so that they don't bore their audience. Have your wedding dance songs or song edited professionally or ask your DJ to fade it out at a pre-determined point. Another trick is to invite your wedding party out to share the floor with you after the first minute or two.
- Guys if your patent leather shoes squeak when you rub them together, they may stick and trip you up. (Really, we've seen it happen.) Just rub a bit of Vaseline on them where they rub and you'll be good to go.
- Ladies, when you go for your fitting, be sure to try moving around in your dress. Can you lift your arms above your head? Do your heels get caught in the hem?
- If you have enough time, sign up for group dance lessons. Learning to dance will add elegance to your special day.
