Family Invites

Hey guys,

Once again I am looking for advice and a place to vent!

I do not get on with my brother in law but have learnt to accept him as this is who my sister choose to spend the rest of her life with. We do not speak and he has tried to turn his children against me. I do not like the way he treats my sister but she seems to think this is ok, no matter how much we tell her otherwise.
I called my sister (who is my bridesmaid) and overheard him in the background stating he did not want to go to my wedding. I asked my sister to confirm this and she did, she said he didn't want to go. everyone is happy! His name is taken off the list & me & H2B devise our final guest list. Limited numbers for the meal.
Today, my sister tells me that brother in law has taken time off work for my wedding. I am confused and tell her he is not invited because he does not want to go & she gets upset and tells me I should have know he was only joking around before?!!
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
My problem is this: *My sister will be upset if I don't invite him
*This will make some of the prepartations difficult
* My mother does not want us argueing
* My brother in law does not want to be there
* I would have to bump a friend off the guest list
* We do not care for my brother in law & he does
not care for us
There are probably more points to note, but I am just so mad right now, I cant put them into words. God, this is enough to drive me back to smoking

So, I guess the questions is..... Do I invite him or not?

Any suggestions or points of view would be greatly appreciated xxx
